
EXCO is a well established company that has been open over 30 years starting in 1993. I was approached by the company to take them on and help with custom projects for their website and marketing /sales materials (catalogs, brochures, spec sheets, and line cards). When I started in 02/02/2023 the company had an unsecured website with an expired SSL certificate, no online mapping location, and basically no online presence. This company was very stagnant with no growth. The companies main source of revenue was an eBay account. Another issue was multiple forgotten old websites that were made and then forgotten, this leaving the search results for them confusing for potential customers. The website at the time had no optimization or mobile adaptability, no meta tags, or meta descriptions, the photos of the products were low quality and unprofessional/unclear, the product descriptions and information was very limited if any at all, no online customer service or listing of their different locations. The sales catalog was 15+ years old. The company also seemed to have no inventory organization or system to navigate. There were no line cards, cut sheets, or any content. This company did not have any social media account; the owner made a Facebook account with the company name , other than that they had no social media presence or activity online. Exco recognized the need to strengthen their online presence and digital strategy to stay competitive in the rapidly evolving market. Prior to the implementation of a comprehensive digital transformation plan, Exco’s online website/store lacked visibility, engagement, and revenue-generating capabilities.
